Role Overview:The MRF Modernization & Operations Specialist will lead the modernization, optimization, and day-to-day management of Material Recovery Facilities. You will be instrumental in integrating advanced technologies like AI and robotics, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations to support Baeru’s international growth and impact targets. Key Responsibilities:- Lead modernization initiatives for MRFs including technology adoption and process reengineering - Oversee daily operations, monitor key performance indicators, and implement continuous improvement practices- Manage facility staff training and development to maintain high operational standards- Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards across global operations- Collaborate closely with product, business development, and impact teams to align MRF operations with company growth strategy and sustainability goals- Monitor evolving global recycling standards and incorporate best practices to future-proof operations- Optimize resource recovery rates and facility productivity while minimizing operational costs and downtime- Prepare regular reports and analytics for senior leadership and external stakeholders Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Waste Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field- 5 years experience in Material Recovery Facility operations, waste management, or sustainable recycling technology implementation- Proven track record in modernizing MRF operations, including technology integration such as AI, robotics, or automation- Strong knowledge of international recycling regulations, environmental compliance, and ESG reporting- Experience managing cross-functional teams and working across multiple geographies preferred- Excellent problem-solving skills, data-driven decision-making ability, and effective communication skills- Passion for climate impact, sustainability, and circular economy principles What We Offer:- Opportunity to shape the future of sustainable waste recovery on a global scale- Dynamic and mission-driven work environment- Competitive remuneration and benefits package- Supportive leadership and strong company culture focused on impact and innovation
