Job Summary:
As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, design and execute test plans, report defects, and ensure that products meet both internal and external quality standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to manual and automated testing and a focus on improving the testing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test cases for new and existing software applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple platforms and devices.
- Identify, report, and track defects using issue tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and validation.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and assist in ensuring that testing requirements are met at each stage of the development process.
- Contribute to improving test processes and frameworks, ensuring efficient and effective test execution.
- Monitor and report on key testing metrics (e.g., test coverage, defect density, etc.).
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging tools/technologies in the QA field.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a QA Engineer in a software development environment.
- Strong experience with manual and automated testing techniques and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and test case management tools.
- Good understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of mobile application testing (Android, iOS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- ISTQB Certification or similar QA-related certifications.
