Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP HCM Migration Specialist with expertise in S/4HANA conversion. The role involves overseeing the migration of SAP HCM from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA, managing post-conversion activities, ensuring the successful execution of post-migration tasks, and performing Simplification Item checks to streamline the migration process.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading SAP HCM migrations, with deep knowledge of both the technical and functional aspects of SAP HCM and S/4HANA.


Key Responsibilities:

SAP HCM to S/4HANA Migration:

Lead and manage the end-to-end migration of SAP HCM to S/4HANA, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Execute the data migration process, including data extraction, transformation, and loading from legacy systems into S/4HANA.


Post-Conversion Activities:

Oversee post-conversion validation and ensure the successful migration of all SAP HCM components.

Manage the adjustment of custom objects, ensuring alignment with new S/4HANA standards.

Conduct comprehensive unit testing and integration testing post-conversion to ensure the functionality and integrity of the system.


Post-Migration Activities:

Perform data reconciliation and address any data discrepancies after migration.

Support the stabilization phase post-migration by troubleshooting and resolving migration-related issues.

Provide training to end users and project teams on new features and changes after the S/4HANA migration.


Simplification Item Checks:

Conduct detailed Simplification Item checks and review SAP’s Simplification Item List to assess the impact on SAP HCM during migration.

Ensure compliance with S/4HANA simplifications by adjusting custom codes, configurations, and business processes as required.


Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with functional teams, technical teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define the migration strategy, and ensure the delivery of solutions that align with business goals.

Provide technical and functional guidance to junior team members and coordinate with the larger SAP S/4HANA project team.


Testing and Validation:

Develop test scripts and ensure successful execution of unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) for the HCM module in S/4HANA.

Monitor and validate business processes post-migration to ensure smooth operations.


Key Requirements:

8+ years of experience in SAP HCM, with at least 3 years working on S/4HANA migrations.

Strong expertise in SAP HCM modules, including Organizational Management (OM), Personnel Administration (PA), Time Management (TM), and Payroll (PY).

Proven experience in S/4HANA migration projects, with knowledge of data migration methodologies.

In-depth understanding of Simplification Items and their impact on SAP HCM in S/4HANA.

Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Conversion tools such as SAP Readiness Check, Simplification List, and SAP Data Migration Cockpit.

Strong knowledge of ABAP custom code adjustments for S/4HANA.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and manage stakeholders.

Experience with post-conversion and post-migration activities, including testing, training, and system validation.

SAP HCM and S/4HANA certification is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

Experience with SAP Activate Methodology for S/4HANA conversions.

Knowledge of SuccessFactors integration with SAP HCM is a plus.
