Curious about the role? What your typical day would look like?

  • Architect, design and maintain data management solutions on the Azure Cloud using PaaS services, Big data technologies and open-source frameworks.
  • Manage the full life cycle of a Data Lake / Lake house / Data mesh solution - from requirement gathering, analysis, architectural patterns, cloud components selection, high-level designs, implementation, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with a team of business domain experts, data scientists and application developers to develop solutions.
  • Contribute to practice level initiatives – creating POVs, Prototypes, accelerators, Whitepapers/Blogs and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Explore and learn new technologies for creative business problem solving and mentor a team of Data Engineers.


What do we expect?


  • Strong hands-on experience in implementing data lake using technologies such as Databricks Spark, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake
  • Excellent understanding of various architectural patterns to ingest, process data of batch and streaming data sources.
  • Strong programming skills in Python/Scala, Pyspark, SQL
  • Experience in setting up governance layer for data management solution but not limited to data quality, data catalog, data lineage and data security.
  • Ability to understand data (attributes, metrics), relate to reporting/analytical use-cases of various business functions at a high-level and include those nuances in the design for scalability, availability.
  • Hands-on experience or exposure to NoSQL databases, data modeling
  • Experience in setting up consumption layer and serving data assets in a secure way for BI reporting, Adhoc analytics, DS/ML use-cases and external users.
  • Experience in capturing objectives of proposals, creating technical architecture, effort-estimation, presentation that articulates the story line.
  • Expertise in using Azure services for automation / event-driven processing – such as Logic apps, Functions.
  • Exposure to integrate DevOps, CI-CD branching strategies, deployments for code components developed in Data factory, Databricks, Functions etc.,
  • Experience in managing Cloud Infra, building REST services are good to have.
  • 9+ years of technical experience with at least 4 years on MS Azure and Big data technologies
