We are looking for a skilled Node.js Developer with expertise in MongoDB to design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of building server-side applications and a strong understanding of MongoDB for managing and optimizing database operations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.
  • Build and manage RESTful or GraphQL APIs for frontend and third-party integrations.
  • Implement real-time communication systems using WebSockets or similar technologies.
  • Design and optimize MongoDB schemas and database structures for scalability.
  • Write efficient queries and aggregation pipelines for data retrieval and reporting.
  • Ensure database integrity and handle complex data transformations using MongoDB's native features.
  • Analyze and optimize Node.js application performance.
  • Implement caching strategies using tools like Redis to enhance system responsiveness.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, including query optimization and indexing.
  • Apply best practices for securing backend applications, including encryption, authentication, and authorization (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
  • Develop scalable solutions using MongoDB sharding, replica sets, and horizontal scaling.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
  • Debug Node.js applications and MongoDB operations effectively using advanced tools.
  • Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and UX designers to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Document APIs, database structures, and backend workflows for team reference and onboarding.


Required Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with backend frameworks like Express.js, NestJS, or Hapi.js.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
  • Proficient in designing and managing MongoDB collections, indexes, and aggregation pipelines.
  • Experience with MongoDB tools like Mongoose or Native Driver.
  • Familiarity with database scaling (e.g., sharding) and high-availability setups (e.g., replica sets).
  • Expertise in building scalable and secure RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring tools like PM2, New Relic, or MongoDB Atlas Performance Advisor.
  • Understanding of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached.
  • Proficiency with Git and platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless platforms.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai for backend validation.
  • Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques for Node.js and MongoDB.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to DevOps workflows and serverless technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous backend projects or production-grade systems.
