Purpose of the position: This person will be responsible for procurement of potato seeds post monitoring market trends and analyzing price structures, identifying new potential suppliers and maintaining relations with ones.


We are seeking a passionate person who is keen on developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the procurement process from start to finish


Grade: Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager - Procurement


Essential Qualification: MBA with Supply chain/ MBA operations/ Logistics


Experience: 13 - 18 years


Critical/Special Exposure: FMCG Sector, Agriculture industry, Potato Industry


Essential Area of Expertise: Procurement Strategies, Vendor Management, Pricing Strategies, Market Research & Analysis


Roles and Responsibility:

  • Devising and using fruitful Potato procurement and sourcing strategies for the Hyfun
  • Discovering profitable Potato suppliers and initiate procurement partnerships
  • Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Market Research, demand supply trends & according give business insights for timely procurement & at Right pricing & develop mechanism of having an MIS around the same
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
  • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Finalize pricing & purchase details of orders and ensure deliveries within timelines
  • Examine & work on current contracts
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs


Functional:

  1. Proven experience as procurement Manager
  2. Proficient in data Analytics, giving presentations on business insights, MS Office
  3. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
  4. Talent in negotiations and networking
  5. Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
  6. Ability to build rapport with internal & external stakeholders
