Japanese Teacher

We're seeking an experienced Japanese language educator to design and develop a comprehensive speaking-focused curriculum for English speakers, ranging from complete beginners to those with basic Japanese proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design an immersive Japanese speaking curriculum with clear progression paths
• Create detailed lesson plans, speaking exercises, and assessment materials
• Develop audio content and conversation scenarios
• Structure the curriculum to build practical communication skills
• Incorporate cultural context into language instruction
• Create supplementary materials to support learner engagement

Required Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English
• 5+ years experience teaching Japanese to English speakers
• Proven track record in curriculum development
• Deep understanding of Japanese language pedagogy
• Experience with communicative language teaching methods
• Strong knowledge of JLPT standards and frameworks
• Ability to adapt materials for different learning styles

• Lesson Planning and Curriculum Design skills
• Japanese Teaching proficiency
