Assistant Manager

The incumbent will be working directly with the project team on the overall planning and implementation of procurement strategies with respect to the ongoing projects. You will also suggest value engineering strategies in order to improve the cost efficiency while keeping the project deliverables in mind. you will play a pivotal role in procuring and managing interior fit-out packages for ongoing projects. Your expertise in negotiation, cost estimation, vendor management, and market trends will be essential to our project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Onboarding and Coordination:
- Identify, pre-qualify, and onboard suppliers/vendors, ensuring they meet business requirements.
- Conduct mandatory training on Zyeta operations, Supplier tool, performance evaluation, and ethical practices.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with suppliers/vendors throughout the procurement process.
PO Creation:
- Convert Bill of Quantities (BOQs) into Purchase Orders (POs).
- Ensure accurate and timely creation of POs, clearly outlining terms and conditions.
- Track and manage POs from issuance to closure, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
Tendering:
- Develop and distribute detailed tenders based on BOQs to qualified suppliers/vendors.
- Organize and conduct pre-bid meetings, clarify requirements, and prepare comprehensive techno-commercial comparisons.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers/vendors and award tenders to successful bidders.
Supplier Payouts:
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely submission of invoices post-delivery/work completion.
- Verify invoices, forward payment requests to finance, and update suppliers on payment status manually or through the procurement tool.
- Ensure transparency and adherence to agreed payment terms.
Internal Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to receive inputs on supplier performance and Goods Receipt Notes with Proof of Delivery.
- Coordinate with the Logistics Manager to track materials from Open PO to PO closure.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams to ensure smooth procurement processes and address any issues promptly.

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, rate analysis, and cost control within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, contract law, and tendering procedures.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favourable outcomes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with procurement and vendor coordination
