In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality of our essential oils and other products through rigorous testing and analysis. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine Gas Chromatography (GC), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GCMS), Optical Rotation, Specific Gravity, pH meter, Refractive Index and Colorimeter tests to ensure the quality of essential oils.
  • Conduct odour analysis to evaluate the sensory qualities of essential oils.
  • Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Product Specifications.
  • Match product specifications with client samples to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Sample products for clients and maintain meticulous records of samples.
  • Maintain control over the Quality Control (QC) function, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of QC processes with manufacturing operations.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior QC staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and advancements in QC technologies and methods.


Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality Control role, preferably within the essential oils, herbal extracts, or related industries.
  • Proficiency in using GC, GCMS, Specific Gravity, Optical Rotation, pH meter, Refractive Index and Colorimeter instruments.
  • Experience in odour analysis and sensory evaluation of essential oils.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret Certificates of Analysis and Product Specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in herbal extracts and additional relevant testing methods is highly valued.
