We are seeking a skilled and proactive SharePoint Online Specialist to a client of ours. This role requires strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365) technologies, exceptional communication skills, and a customer-focused approach to handle UK business user interactions. The ideal candidate will effectively address technical queries, guide users, and contribute to innovative solutions to improve existing systems and processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business User Interaction:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for UK business users, providing clear guidance, clarifications, and support for SharePoint Online (SPO) and related M365 technologies.
  • Manage user queries efficiently and deliver proactive resolutions with timely status updates.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Implement and manage Document Management features in SharePoint Online, including Microsoft Information Protection, Classification, Retention, and Permission models.
  • Utilize advanced SPO features such as Modern SharePoint, Search, Client-Side Object Model (CSOM), and SharePoint Framework (SPFx) Development.
  • Work with Azure PaaS Services such as Azure Functions, WebJobs, and Remote Event Handlers.
  • Leverage development tools like PowerShell, Visual Studio (VS), VS Code, PnP, and Power BI for solution implementation.
  • Develop and integrate SPO REST APIs, CSOM, and other advanced functionalities.
  • Process Improvements:
  • Proactively suggest innovative solutions and process enhancements for SharePoint Online environments.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies to improve existing tools and methodologies.
  • Cross-Platform Collaboration:
  • Work closely with teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal utilization of Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) features where applicable.


Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in SharePoint Online and M365 technology stack.
  • Strong understanding of SPO Document Management capabilities and associated features.
  • Hands-on experience with SPO development tools and APIs (PowerShell, SPFx, REST API, CSOM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Azure PaaS services and their integration with SharePoint Online.
  • Knowledge of the Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) is a plus.
