About Us: Thread Factory is a B2B fashion marketplace empowering unorganized apparel retailers with data-driven insights and technology to source the latest fashion from India’s top manufacturers. Our focus is on building a robust R&D platform that not only supports sourcing but also offers valuable trend insights to help retailers curate the perfect collections for their stores. Currently in stealth mode, we are developing a comprehensive omni-channel solution to streamline procurement, enhance sales, and simplify operations


Responsibilities


  • Oversee and mentor a team responsible for buying and merchandising, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
  • Formulate and implement strategic merchandising plans to optimize product offerings on the platform, driving growth and enhancing customer engagement
  • Identify, engage, and onboard leading brands onto the platform, ensuring a diverse and appealing product selection
  • Work closely with sellers to curate and showcase the latest designs and collections, keeping the platform's offerings fresh and competitive
  • Manage negotiations regarding pricing, offers, and commission structures with suppliers to secure favorable terms and drive profitability
  • Collaborate with field sales teams and customers to understand market demand and trends, using this insight to plan and execute market-specific product curation
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge in merchandising


Ideal Candidate


  • Minimum of 5 years in the fashion/apparel industry, ideally within a high-growth e-commerce company or startup environment
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Self starters looking for good learning experience in a startup
  • Preferred candidates will have a degree from NIFT or a similar institution, or a qualification in Fashion/Apparel Design

  • Full Time Role


Compensation:


  • CTC - 6 LPA + ESOPs
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Revenue-based compensation structure to be determined as the business grows
